New Format - First Reaction to 9-11-2001

(c) Dan Messenger, 2001 http://www.DanceTrends.org

Greetings! I am up and running with a new format and I would like to take this time to welcome Bob Northrop, owner of Virtual Web Works, to the Dance Trends team. Bob will be handling the web page design and advertising layouts along with any little problems that may arise from time to time. I hope he's not a coffee drinker like me ( if you know what I mean! :)

This should be the end of the majority of my computer headaches. Not all of my headaches, of course. After all, I am still busy raising 3 kids, one of them being a teenager! Thanks to all who responded to my SOS, with regard to offering your services to this newsletter. It was not easy selecting the right candidate, as there were many of you who were more than qualified for the job. Please feel free to give your advice and opinions on what you would like to see now or in future Dance Trends issues.

As I was beginning my spin this morning a news alert came up on on NBC announcing the demise of the World Trade Center and the Washington Pentagon. No words can express the emotion I am feeling right now. I am sure you are feeling the same way. Both twin towers of the World Trade Center are gone and it seems that the threat of more attacks is eminent. At this time all I can think about is the number of people in New York and Washington D.C who many of us know through dance. If you think it is scary to watch on T.V. imagine what friends and family members that we know must be going through right now.

Isn't this a terrorists dream! Revenge to the people who did this is just a matter of time. This is something that a great country like the United States will not tolerate. God Bless the United States of America. I speak for myself and my family when I say that all of our prayers are with those people that we know on the east coast and to anyone out there who has been personally effected by this tragedy.

This is a very sad day.
